What is Sugaring?
Sugaring is a form of hair removal that is derived from Ancient Egyptian practices. Sugaring, also know as Halawa in the Middle East, is still a common practice today. In ancient times women would get all of their body hair removed in preparation for their wedding night using this method of hair removal.
Sugaring is a 100% natural method of hair removal. It is made up of only 3 ingredients—sugar, water and citric acid (lemon juice). Whereas, most waxes are full of various types of silicones, plastics and other chemicals. It is much better overall for the skin, as well as the hair removal process and the results last longer than waxing.

About Kaila
As a young child with two younger sisters, I often had one of them sitting in front of me while I played with their hair. This went on throughout the years we were growing up. I’ll never forget the day I decided to be a hair stylist. In 9th grade, I took a career course and my teacher, Mr. Watson, said “find something you love and make a career out of it.” It was on that day I knew what I wanted to do with my life, and I have been on that path ever since.
I went into cosmetology after graduating from high school and have been in the industry for 18 years. I love being a hair stylist and my favorite things about it are the relationships I build with people, the creative outlet it gives me, and the fact that the industry is always changing, with new techniques and products advancing and evolving. I feel like the possibilities for me are endless and the sky is the limit!
